Why We give

At Real Life Ministries Texas, we give generously to support the church, the body of Christ, as God’s Word commands. We recognize that giving 10% of our income is defined as a “tithe”, the Biblical starting point of giving to the local church.

But we do not stop there. We believe that our whole lives are a response to God’s grace and love for us. And so, we consider it our privilege and our challenge to live lives of extravagant generosity. As we courageously walk with God in this area, we believe God will bring peace to our lives as we grow in this worshipful response to God.

Being a part of Real Life Ministries Texas means being committed to following God as He grows and changes us into generous people. As we give back to God, RLM Texas will love, serve and minister to the needs around us.

Beyond a standard online gift, there are a variety of giving strategies that can help you maximize both your generosity and your financial stewardship. These options may allow you to reduce your tax burden, leverage existing assets, or create a lasting legacy — all while investing in what God is doing at Real Life Ministries Texas. The options might surprise you!

We're able to accommodate a wide range of giving strategies, including: 

  • Donor Advised Fund, Private Foundation, or Other Charitable Fund — Direct a distribution from your existing fund to RLMT. 
  • Corporate Matching Gift — Check with your employer to see if they'll match your contribution and double your impact. 
  • Legacy Gift (Estate Planning) — Include RLMT in your will or estate plan as part of your long-term generosity. 
  • IRA Charitable Rollover (Qualified Charitable Distribution) — If you're 70½ or older, you may be able to give directly from your IRA and satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution tax-free. 
  • Stock Gift — Donate appreciated stock and potentially avoid capital gains taxes while giving at full market value. 
  • Real Estate Gift — Give property as a charitable contribution. 
  • In-Kind Donation — Donate goods, services, or other non-cash assets.
